Children

The Children’s Department is located in the original historic section of the library. It has a great selection of new and classic children’s books including the most requested series. We also have books on CD, board books and children’s magazines.

The Children’s Department Programs:

Toddler Story Time is a weekly program for children ages 1-3 years.  Each story time includes age appropriate stories, crafts, rhymes, and more.  No registration required.

Toddler Free Play meets weekly and is an unstructured play group for ages 1-3 years.  Age appropriate toys and craft materials are provided.  No registration required.

Preschool Story Time is a weekly program for children ages 3-5 years.  Each story time includes age appropriate stories, crafts, rhymes, and more.  No registration required.

Pajama Story Time is a monthly program held on a Thursday evening for kids ages 3-8.  Kids can come dressed in their pajamas to listen to stories, play games, and make a craft.  No registration required.

Saturday Story Time is a monthly program for kids ages 3-8.  Saturday story time consists of some stories and lots of activities.  No registration required.

STEAM Club (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) is a monthly hands-on program for kids ages 7-12 years.  No registration required.
